Stop being so hard on yourself.

We all make mistakes. I swear. And I'm not saying this so that you can feel better about whatever you did wrong in your life. I'm saying this because I feel like there's a lot of people blaming themselves for everything, but they never find forgiveness for what they did.

We don't only have to learn how to forgive others, but we also have to learn how to forgive ourselves. Mistakes are part of life and learning. If we don't make them, we don't learn the best ways to act on other occasions.

In my life, I've done a lot of things wrong. I treated people bad and made terrible decisions sometimes. However, I understood that blaming myself for everything was also a mistake. If I spent all of my hours thinking about how terrible I am, I would never grow. So I decided that the best I can do after I realize I made a mistake is forgive myself and move on, trying my best to do things in a different way. In a better way.

Some people will never forgive you for what you did to them. But what truly matters is the way you start acting after you realize what you did wrong. So, if someone doesn't forgive you, all you can do is find forgiveness for yourself. You'll probably lose people on the way, trust me. But not everything is under our control, just our own actions.

Make a mistake, learn with it, and move on. That's my advice for today. Treat yourself like you would treat others. You are human, and, if you can forgive people who did you wrong, you can also forgive yourself for what you did wrong.

Life is too short to spend time martyring yourself for mistakes made in the past.
